From Retired Assets to
Real Impact

At eWaste Solutions, recycling electronics is not just about proper disposal. It is also about finding ways to extend the life of technology so it can continue to make a difference.

We recently had the opportunity to support Project Trinite's Trinitech Center in Kenya by providing refurbished laptops for their team. These devices were once used by businesses here in the United States and are now helping support digital access, education, and job opportunities in an underserved community in East Africa.

Equipment that might have otherwise been retired is now being used every day to help people learn new skills and grow.

About the Trinitech Center

Project Trinite is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization building sustainable economic impact by expanding digital access and empowering rural communities through technology, innovation, and opportunity. Their flagship project, the David Connor Trinitech Center, officially opened its doors on February 14, 2026 in Kenya, marking the beginning of what the organization describes as a new era of digital opportunity for the community.

The center is a 100-person modern facility and serves as the headquarters for Project Trinite's operations across East Africa. It runs on a fully off-grid solar system with high-speed internet infrastructure built in, designed from the ground up to bring world-class digital tools to a region where access to technology has historically been limited.

Through this effort, the technology eWaste Solutions provided is supporting daily operations at the center, helping individuals build digital skills, and opening the door to new economic opportunities for people in the community.

Why This Matters for Our Clients

Secure data destruction and responsible recycling are always our top priorities. Every device we process is wiped or destroyed in compliance with NIST 800-88, HIPAA, and all applicable standards before it leaves our facility. When equipment still has useful life remaining, however, finding it a second home can create real impact on top of the environmental benefit.

This is especially meaningful for organizations focused on sustainability. Knowing that retired equipment can do more than be recycled and can directly support people and communities adds another layer of value to the responsible disposal process. Your old laptops do not have to be the end of the story.

A Message from Kenya

The video above shares a message directly from the team at the Trinitech Center in Kenya. It is a reminder that behind every piece of equipment is an opportunity to help someone else. We are proud to be part of efforts like this and look forward to continuing to help our clients manage their technology in a responsible and meaningful way.
