eWaste Solutions manages the entire end of life process for your IT equipment: pickup, data destruction, recycling, and compliance documentation. Your team doesn't have to think about it twice.
Your data is gone.
Completely.
Every storage device, including hard drives, SSDs, optical media, and tape, is wiped or physically shredded to NIST 800-88 and DOD standards. A Certificate of Destruction with serialized records is issued on every job, no exceptions.
Nothing goes
to a landfill.
We are R2v3 RIOS certified, the highest standard in the industry, independently audited by SERI and recognized by the U.S. EPA. Every device we collect is processed responsibly. You receive a full environmental impact report for your ESG and sustainability files.

We serve hospitals, universities, financial institutions, corporations, government agencies, and small businesses across New England. Every client receives the same level of documentation and compliance support regardless of volume.

Data destruction you can
prove in an audit.
Every data destruction engagement produces a Certificate of Destruction listing each device by serial number, the method of destruction, the date, and the certifying technician. This is a legally defensible compliance document, not a generic receipt.
Our destruction methods meet or exceed NIST 800-88 and DOD standards. We handle hard drives, SSDs, NVMe drives, magnetic tape, mobile devices, and any other storage media, each destroyed using the method appropriate to its technology and your compliance requirements.
Schedule a PickupMethods & standards
- Physical shredding, drives reduced to particles, no recovery path
- Degaussing for HDDs and magnetic tape
- NIST 800-88 certified data wiping for reusable devices

Destruction at your facility,
witnessed by your team.
On site data destruction means our team brings shredding equipment directly to your location. Drives are physically destroyed on your premises, in your presence, before anything leaves the building. For regulated industries where chain of custody assurance is non-negotiable, this is the gold standard.
Used regularly by hospitals, financial institutions, law firms, government agencies, and any organization that cannot allow unwiped drives to leave the building. Certificates of Destruction are issued on site, same day.
Schedule a PickupWhat to expect
- Our certified team arrives with mobile shredding equipment
- All assets inventoried and logged before destruction begins
- Physical destruction performed on your premises
- Witnessed and verified by your designated staff member
- Certificate of Destruction issued same day with serial records
- Nothing leaves your facility unaccounted for
- Available throughout New England: MA, CT, ME, NH, NY, RI, VT
Hard drive shredding |
no recovery possible.
Physical hard drive shredding is the most absolute method of data destruction available. Drives are fed into industrial shredding equipment and reduced to small particles, making data recovery technically and practically impossible, regardless of the tools used.
We shred HDDs, SSDs, NVMe drives, and hybrid drives. For SSDs, physical destruction is the only reliable destruction method. Degaussing and wiping are not effective against solid-state storage architecture. Every shredded drive is documented and included in your Certificate of Destruction.
Schedule a PickupDrive types we destroy
- Hard disk drives in all capacities and form factors
- Solid state drives: 2.5", M.2, PCIe NVMe
- Server drives: SAS, SATA, enterprise NVMe
- External drives and portable storage
- USB flash drives and memory cards
- Hybrid drives (SSHD)
- Legacy drives: SCSI, IDE, PATA
Optical media & tape |
destroyed completely.
CDs, DVDs, Blu-ray discs, HD DVDs, and all forms of magnetic tape are physically destroyed. Optical media is shredded into particles that cannot be reconstructed. Magnetic tape including DLT, LTO, DAT, and backup cartridges is degaussed and shredded.
Organizations that store backups, archives, or sensitive records on optical or tape media are frequently overlooked in data disposal programs. eWaste Solutions handles all legacy media types with the same documented, certified process applied to hard drives.
Schedule a PickupMedia types we destroy
- CDs, DVDs, Blu-ray discs, HD DVDs
- DLT, LTO, DAT, AIT magnetic tape cartridges
- Backup tapes and archival media
- VHS, Betamax, and legacy magnetic formats
- Floppy disks and Zip drives
- Microfilm and microfiche
- Smart cards, SIM cards, key cards
Lab & medical equipment |
HIPAA compliant disposal.
Medical and laboratory equipment presents a unique compliance challenge: devices often contain embedded storage that retains patient data, diagnostic records, and configuration files. Imaging systems, patient monitors, infusion pumps, and analytical instruments all require proper data destruction before disposal.
eWaste Solutions works with hospitals, health systems, dental practices, veterinary facilities, research laboratories, pharmaceutical companies, and medical device manufacturers throughout New England. Our process is HIPAA compliant and fully documented.
Schedule a PickupEquipment we handle
- Patient monitors, infusion pumps, imaging systems
- Diagnostic equipment: analyzers, centrifuges, spectrophotometers
- Dental equipment: digital X-ray systems, CAD/CAM units
- Laboratory computers, workstations, and servers
- Medical printers and fax machines
- Pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment
- Research instruments and data loggers
- Veterinary diagnostic systems
Data sanitization |
certified and reuse-ready.
When devices will be reused, donated, or remarketed, physical destruction is not always appropriate. Data sanitization through certified data wiping using NIST 800-88 compliant methods renders the original data unrecoverable while preserving the device for its next lifecycle.
Every sanitized device is verified, logged, and covered by a Certificate of Data Sanitization with the same serialized documentation as physical destruction. Clients using our sanitization service also receive a detailed environmental impact report showing materials diverted from the waste stream.
Schedule a PickupSanitization details
- NIST 800-88 compliant multi pass overwrite
- Suitable for HDDs, SSDs, NVMe, and mobile devices
- Device tested and verified post-wipe
- Certificate of Data Sanitization with serial numbers
- Supports device reuse, donation, and remarketing
- ESG environmental impact report included
- Supports circular economy and sustainability goals
Compliance & Certifications
Built for the industries that can't cut corners.
Every service we provide is designed to satisfy the compliance requirements of the most regulated industries in the country.
HIPAA
The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act requires covered entities and business associates to render protected health information completely unreadable and unrecoverable before disposal. Our physical shredding and certified wiping processes satisfy this requirement, and we issue the documentation your compliance team needs.
Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act
The GLBA and the FTC Safeguards Rule require financial institutions to destroy customer financial data so it cannot practicably be read or reconstructed. Our NIST 800-88 and DOD compliant destruction methods meet this standard, with full asset level Certificates of Destruction for your audit files.
R2v3 RIOS Certified
eWaste Solutions holds R2v3 RIOS certification, the combined Responsible Recycling and Recycling Industry Operating Standard, independently audited by SERI. This certification is recognized by the U.S. EPA and the U.S. General Services Administration and is the highest recycling standard in the electronics industry.
NIST 800-88 & DOD Standards
NIST Special Publication 800-88 is the federal standard for media sanitization, defining the requirements for clearing, purging, and destroying data bearing devices. Our processes meet or exceed these guidelines, the same standards used by federal agencies and defense contractors.
FACTA & MA 201 CMR 17.00
The Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act requires proper disposal of consumer information to prevent unauthorized access. Massachusetts 201 CMR 17.00 requires a documented information security program with proper disposal procedures for any business that holds personal information about Massachusetts residents.
ESG & Sustainability Reporting
Every job includes a detailed environmental impact report, pounds recycled by material category, carbon footprint reduction estimates, and landfill diversion figures. Suitable for GRI, CDP, and internal sustainability disclosures. Used by our clients in healthcare, finance, and higher education for board level ESG reporting.
